IT Support Analyst (1179) - Temporary

Basic Function

This position is responsible for the day to day on site support of all ITD supported systems and services provided to remote offices.   Remote offices may be permanent or temporary (e.g. PMT).      Position is typically a single incumbent although larger or more complex sites may require multiple individuals.
Responsible, under the general direction of the Computer Operations Unit Supervisor, ITD, for providing all aspects of end user computing, voice services, video conferencing, Telepresence, LAN/WAN support, 2 way radio, building security system, mobile devices support (smart phone/tablet) copper & fiber optic cabling support as well as any other ITD supported systems or services at that location. Position has daily contact with onsite end users to deliver equipment and services, and ASC IT help desk and peer IT support staff to resolve complex problems and ensure network integrity and security.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs all IT support functions designated by the Supervisor.  Follows up with his end users to ensure they provided with optimum service.  Takes corrective action to resolve problems.                                                                                                                                                
  • Works closely with other ASC and Saudi Aramco groups to coordinate plans and activities. This includes forecasts of future equipment, services, and budget requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field.
  • One to three (1-3) years recent experience in supporting a diverse computer & communications infrastructure.   CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.   Candidates with experience implementing and administering VOIP and telecommunications high availability systems are highly desired.
  • Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined.  Demonstrated ability to create and deliver business and technical presentations.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer, communications and networking engineering, operations, and technical practices.  Must possess good work habits and a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette.   As this is typically a single incumbent, position, and demonstrated abilities to work independently and deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction is required.
