OVERVIEW:
Aramco Americas is building a new state-of-the-art research center in Houston that will focus on CO2 capture, carbon materials, hydrogen, low carbon-impact liquid fuels, renewables & storage and artificial intelligence in energy. The center will take low TRL research results and develop them to TRL 5-7.
SCOPE:
Aramco Americas is seeking researchers in renewable energy and storage to develop commercial-ready solutions. The primary objective of this research area is to enhance the efficiency and utilization of renewable energy technologies. This includes improvements to the technologies themselves, and to the energy storage systems upon which they rely to manage their intermittency and maximize impact. The ultimate goal is to provide cost-effective and scalable options for the integration of sustainable energy into industrial processes, thereby contributing to Aramco decarbonization plan. The role encompasses both development and engineering tasks. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background complemented by project management expertise.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years’ experience in a substantive industrial, technological or laboratory research in the following areas:
- New materials and novel approaches for storage
- Battery storage and material recovery
- System level integration of storage technology
- Safe and sustainable storage methods
- Battery testing.
