Summer Student Engineering Opportunity
Disciplines: Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
The summer student will assist senior engineers in technology scouting, technical assessments, inspection activities, and other related project activities as needed. This assignment will provide an opportunity to become familiar with the oil & gas and petrochemical industries and related processes, searching industry-wide technical standards and identifying important design factors such as pressure and temperature ratings, minimum wall thickness, corrosion allowance, and material groups.

Typical activities include:

• Assisting senior engineers with projects and assignments related to:
  • static equipment
  • rotating equipment
  • instrumentation and automation
  • process design
  •  technology scouting
  • equipment manufacturer, process plant, and/or technology provider facility tours
  • development and/or revision of engineering procedures
