OVERVIEW:

The Aramco Americas Washington, D.C. office Corporate Advisor will perform a full range of multi-disciplinary professional administrative, analytic and advisory support roles. The Corporate Advisor will be joining a small but dynamic and highly experienced group that provides impactful policy assessments to senior management across the enterprise. The Corporate Advisor will take on responsibility for tracking regulatory, policy, industry, and market developments in a wide range of issue areas that are critical to the company. The Corporate Advisor will be required to provide accurate, well-written, well-researched, concise, user-friendly briefs/reports and presentation materials that are tailored to meet the needs of an internal client base on a high frequency basis. The Corporate Advisor will be required to work collaboratively in all work products and engagements. The Corporate Advisor will contribute to signature reports that the Washington office provides to management. The Corporate Advisor will help maintain and improve knowledge management systems for the Washington office. The Corporate Advisor will represent the company at partner organizations and actively work to assess potential new partners. The Corporate Advisor will help develop and maintain a strong Washington network.
 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
The following reflects a general range of duties that are expected of the Corporate Advisor. The Corporate Advisor will also be expected to perform duties as assigned that may not be specifically identified below.
The Corporate Advisor will track policy and regulatory developments as assigned and provide updates and assessments as needed in a variety of deliverables, both written and verbal. The work of tracking and researching these critical policy issues will take the form of attending issue-specific events facilitated and platformed by research institutions and tracking primary research and news publications. 
The Corporate Advisor will work closely in collaboration with DC office colleagues in all project areas. The Corporate Advisor will also cross collaborate across the enterprise regionally and with subsidiaries as needed and as directed to facilitate work projects. The Corporate Advisor will provide high frequency updates to the head of the Washington office on project developments.
The Corporate Advisor will support executive engagements as directed by providing briefing materials, support in crafting and populating agendas, and other duties as assigned. 
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Six to 10 years of experience in relevant role, preferably one that aligns with or is linked to the energy industry. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, such as International Relations, Economics, Communications, etc., is required. 
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field is preferred.
  • Superior communications skills – both written and verbal. Written products – emails, briefs, reports, presentation materials – must be of the highest caliber. They must be precise, concise, useful, easy to read, and reflect a high degree of professionalism. 
  • Strong presentation skills. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in small and large group meetings, lead meetings and discussions, and provide useful written briefs on the engagements.
  • Strong research skills. Candidate must have strong skills to acquire and assess primary and secondary sources of high-integrity, useful information from a variety of resources.
  • Strong ability to work to deadlines. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in successfully delivering high quality product under tight deadlines.
  • Some experience in tracking and writing on energy, climate and sustainability policies is preferred. 
  • Candidate must be highly organized, able to juggle a multitude of projects and tasks simultaneously if needed – all while delivering high quality work product.
  • Candidate must have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills and a high degree of intellectual stamina to take on new tasks and projects outside of their usual portfolio that may be assigned to them. 
  • Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of working successfully in team environments. 
  • Candidate must have the ability to absorb high volumes of information quickly and place that information into strategic context for a corporate audience in both written and verbal formats. 
  • Candidate must have strong project management skills and have a demonstrated track record of taking an idea from concept to final deliverable.
  • Candidate must have strong interest and experience in innovating work processes via new software, deliverables, and/or knowledge management systems. 
  • Candidate must be fluent in MS Word and PowerPoint. Candidate must be proficient in Excel. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

  • Operates standard office equipment, including but not limited to personal computers, calculators, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, etc.
  • Reads and comprehends published, handwritten, and typewritten materials, company forms, and computer printouts.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and database functions in the Windows environment. 
  • Travels to meetings, seminars, and to vendor offices in Washington DC and throughout North America.
